About the role

Join our fabulous People and Culture Team as a Senior Business Partner - People & Culture.  Working alongside a great bunch of people you will be an employee champion and change agent.  You will develop innovative solutions for a range of people-related challenges and opportunities and foster partnerships across the People & Culture function in order to deliver value-added service to management and employees.

You will be supported by an HR Business partner and will be responsible for our Member Health and Member Services portfolios.

Your responsibilities:

  • Partner with business on organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills development.
  • Partner with the business to lead both annual and mid-year review processes which focus on talent development and performance management
  • Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives and productivity
  • Develop and implement people strategies that attract, develop and retain talent to deliver on the strategic direction of the business
  • Manage the workforce impact of transformational change to ensure business continuity by supporting managers and staff through change processes and identifying mitigation strategies to limit industrial impact.
  • Design and implement tailored communications plans to drive the Portfolio’s People Plan
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR practices, utilising People Services & Business Services as required
  • Provide expert advice on ER and IR matters
  • Provide management coaching to front line managers and senior leaders, and help create a diverse and inclusive culture that aligns to the HCF Purpose, Values and Ways of Working.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline desirable
  • Strong business acumen
  • IR / ER experience ideally from within an clinical environment
  • Ability to give accurate and timely advice on HR policies and practices and the relevant Acts and Awards
  • Highly developed listening and communication skills along with the ability to influence and negotiate
  • Tact, discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality
